Algae Farming

Algae is an astonishing, resourceful organism and is primed to be at the epicenter of practically every industry. It's cheap, grows quickly, has more protein than soybeans, has 5,000% more iron than spinach, and can even be turned into a biodegradable plastic. The world health organization declared one species of algae, spirulina, to be the best food for the future. There are thousands of different naturally occurring species of organisms that are called algae, including seaweeds and kelps and they each have their own superpowers. Here are just a few.

Blue/ Green Algae

Blue/ Green Algae such as chlorella and spirulina can be used for dyes and nutritional additives.

Red Algae

Popular red algae like nori can be a source of agar and carrageenan.

Brown Algae

Brown algae like edible kelp, produce other thickening agents and can store a lot of carbon dioxide.

Green Algae

Green algae which include sea grapes and sea lettuce contain huge amounts of chlorophyll and keratin.

A Vision for the Future

Product developers, organizations, governments and farmers all recognize algae as being ubiquitous and versatile. It's starting to take a staring roll in new product development. The algae product market is projected to grow to $5.2 billion by 2023. With all that product development, the world will soon run into shortages with accessing raw materials. Companies are already reporting these bottlenecks. With increasing interest in algae and being on the cusp of a boom, our 10-acer algae farm will be at the for front of the supply chain.

Turning a Vision to Reality

By supporting our algae farm, you have the power to help us stop climate change and reverse the damage it has caused to our beautiful planet. Due to its ability to absorb large amounts of carbon, algae are increasingly being recognized as an essential tool for reversing damage done to land and water. Some species of algae have even been found to naturally gather up micro plastics, making it easier to remove them from our water ways. Together, we can make sure our children and their children have clean water, clear skies and plenty of food to fill their belly's. So please donate today! And thank you for your help support!
